Newsletter - November 2007
On November 1st, 2007, we announced exciting changes here at Rutland. As part of our constant drive to improve quality, service and value to all our customers, Rutland Biodynamics Ltd and Kingham Herbs and Tinctures Ltd combined their efforts from the 1st of November 2007.
Rutland will continue to concentrate on growing and manufacturing herbal medicines to the very highest standards of safety and quality, on which its reputation is founded, as the first herb farm in Europe to be licensed under the THMD. The marketing, sales and distribution of the newly extended GMP Rutland brand will managed under the very experienced and capable direction of Paul Skipworth, from his old company premises in the village of Kingham, deep in the Oxfordshire countryside.
This is in order to improve the service we offer to our customers, by allowing each business to concentrate on what it does best, to increase the availability and ranges available, and to improve cost and efficiency of sales and distribution by offering a truly 'one-stop-shop' for professional herbal practitioners. We are also doing this to mitigate the extra cost which will inevitably be associated with smaller companies manufacturing practitioner quality medicines to cGMP standards.
This will allow customers to be able to source the widest possible range of products for the complementary health care professional from the one source, reducing packaging and transport costs and so minimizing environmental damage. All Rutland Biodynamics Ltd sales and accounts queries will be handled by the new sales team at 21 Langston Priory Mews, Kingham, Oxfordshire OX7 6UP. Although the existing telephone numbers will be automatically re-routed, it saves us costs if you use the new numbers tel: 01608 659600 and fax 01608 659529. Email, webshop etc remain unaltered.
Between us, we shall continue to offer every service currently available and also improve on our existing range. Kingham manufacturing ceases in the run up to the launch of the new Rutland range, which contains most of the old Kingham lines - although now all manufactured to cGMP. We plan to continue with our popular open days and seminars on the farm and look forward to seeing many of you throughout the years.
There have been no changes in 'ownership' of the business, company shares or anything of that nature. This is purely a manufacturing and distribution agreement designed to improve our service to customers by enabling the most efficient supply of our increasingly popular services.
Much more information in the new brochure and an extended catalogue will be available from the sales office after 15th November 2007. By Christmas, we expect to greatly increase room exclusively dedicated to producing GMP tinctures and thus to being able to respond flexibly to fluctuating demand by increasing readily available stock levels to the profession.
If you have any concerns whatsoever, you can, of course, still write to me here at herbalist@rutlandbio.com, at any time.
